All 5th grade students will be turning in their Chromebooks and chargers on Thursday, June 5. They will be issued Chromebooks at the middle school in August.

Any 3rd or 4th grade students who are leaving Poway Unified will need to turn in their Chromebooks/chargers by Tuesday, June 10th.

Lost and Found

Please stop by the front office and see if anything belongs to your child.

All unclaimed items will be donated by end of day Thursday, June 12th.

Social Media Challenges Causing Facilities Damage

We’ve seen a recent uptick in unsafe behaviors influenced by social media trends, including students tampering with electrical outlets using paperclips or foil and removing sink push buttons from restrooms. These actions pose serious safety risks and result in costly damage. Please talk with your student about the dangers and consequences of these behaviors. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our campuses safe and respectful spaces for all.

Digital Citizenship

Protecting personal information is a critical part of helping children build safe and responsible digital habits. Setting strong privacy controls on apps, devices, and accounts helps safeguard your child’s data and limits unwanted access. It is also important to talk with your child about why privacy matters—helping them understand how to manage their own settings and make thoughtful choices online. By staying informed and setting up privacy protections together, we can teach students to take ownership of their digital safety and build a foundation for lifelong responsible technology use.

Fall 2025 ESS Interest Application

The Fall 2025 ESS Interest Application is open. It will remain open through Friday, June 6. All interested families may apply at any time during this initial application window. There is no advantage or disadvantage to applying earlier or later within this period, as all applications will be processed simultaneously.

Parents are encouraged to wait patiently until their child's enrollment has been completed by the school site and they have received access to their ParentVUE account before attempting to use the ESS Application Management System.

Families who apply during the initial application window will be notified on June 13 whether their student has been offered a placement in the ESS program for the 2025–26 school year or if their student has been placed on the waitlist.

If you have any questions about ESS enrollment, please email [email protected].
