Hello Midland families,
We are looking forward to next week’s parent-teacher conferences. We believe these conferences provide invaluable opportunities to strengthen the partnership between our efforts at school and support from home.
NEW SHADE STRUCTURE!
We are very excited to see the completion of our playground shade structure! We have anticipated this project for some time now and it will be completely installed by early next week. We appreciate everyone's patience as several crews access our campus during the day.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES NEXT WEEK
Next week is Parent Teacher Conference week at Midland Elementary. Our schedule for the week will be:
Monday, 11/18 - Full day conference – No School
Tuesday, 11/19 - Minimum Day 12pm dismissal
Wednesday, 11/20 - Minimum Day 12pm dismissal
Thursday, 11/21 – Minimum Day 12pm dismissal
Teachers look forward to meeting with parents/guardians to share and celebrate student progress. Synergy ParentVUE online access to progress reports will be available Wednesday, December 4th at 5:00 pm. Click on these links - English Spanish - to access progress reports in Synergy ParentVUE.

Volunteers
Thank you to all our parents who have registered as official Midland Volunteers! We currently have 281 volunteers who have obtained at a minimum, Level 1 clearance. Any parents wishing to help in our classrooms for any reason (parties, small groups, materials prep,etc.) must have level 1 clearance. All volunteers must adhere to our Volunteer Code of Conduct. We appreciate all our volunteers at Midland!

Turkey Bingo – Thursday, Nov 21
Time for some BINGO - join us on 11/21 to win prizes, pies, and of course...a TURKEY!
Bingo play for the whole time is just $2 per person (one sheet at a time please), and everyone is welcome to come play!
This is not a drop off event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
PTA Pancake Breakfast & Santa Shop – Saturday, Dec 7th 8 – 11am
Come enjoy a yummy pancake breakfast, local holiday shopping, pictures with Santa, cookie decorating, free kids’ crafts, and more! The most festively fun Saturday you'll spend at school! Cheery volunteers wanted! Please consider sharing some of your holiday happiness by lending a hand in any of these spots - you will definitely be on Santa's NICE LIST!!
Square 1 Art
Square 1 Art catalogs were sent home in Friday folders! With Square 1 Art, you can purchase a wide variety of gifts (mugs, totes, ornaments, notepads, trivets, blankets, etc) with your child's original art! These will arrive in time for the holidays and make great unique gifts for aunties, grandparents, and neighbors. Orders will be accepted through Friday November 22, 2024 at square1art.com/shop.
