Attendance

Attendance in school is very important to Midland Elementary and in the month of January, we have 173 students (29%) with perfect attendance!  This is a great accomplishment, and we commend these students and their families!  Let's try to increase this percentage in February...since we have one week off, we only have 3 weeks to show up and win a perfect attendance certificate—We can do this!!

Tardies

We want to remind everyone of the importance of being on time to school each day. School begins promptly at 7:45 a.m., and the first bell rings at 7:40 a.m. to give students enough time to line up and settle in for a successful day of learning.

To ensure students are ready to engage fully, we encourage them to arrive early enough to take advantage of breakfast, which is available starting at 7:15 a.m. This gives everyone the opportunity to fuel up before class begins. Arriving on time helps set a positive tone for the day, allowing students to focus, be present, and make the most of their education. We appreciate your support in helping us create a smooth and effective start to each day!

Digital Citizenship
In PUSD, we are committed to ensuring your child's online safety and privacy. As students engage in digital spaces—whether playing multiplayer games, using educational apps, or exploring new interests online—it’s crucial they understand the importance of keeping their personal information safe. With guidance on avoiding scams and protecting their digital footprints, students can enjoy learning and fun online while staying in control of their privacy. Families play an important role in helping children navigate these topics and establishing healthy, safe digital habits. Below are some Privacy and Security tips to share with your family.
