Rattlers R.O.C.K.

We are excited to share that Midland Elementary is launching a new schoolwide MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) initiative called Rattlers R.O.C.K.!

MTSS is a proactive framework designed to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of all students. Through this approach, we focus on early support, positive behavior, and student well-being while helping every child succeed.

 

Rattlers R.O.C.K. represents the core values we strive to model and reinforce each day:

• Respectful
• Own your actions
• Challenge yourself
• Keep it safe

 

Our team has spent a great deal of time throughout the fall thoughtfully designing this program, and we believe it is one that all Rattlers will respond to positively as we work together to support and recognize positive behaviors across campus.

 

One exciting new component of Rattlers R.O.C.K. is a schoolwide recognition system. Students may earn reward tokens for demonstrating positive behavior and performance. These tokens will be added to a glass progress jar in the main office, and once the jar is full, students will earn a schoolwide reward, such as extra recess minutes!

 

Parents, we welcome your partnership in this initiative. We encourage you to support and reinforce positive behaviors at home by using the Rattlers R.O.C.K. language and expectations.
